Secondary Framings

Avlon Structure Pvt Ltd's secondary framing system comprises cold-formed steel members - purlins, girts, and eave struts - designed to ensure superior strength, stability, and structural support. These components are manufactured using high-grade steel with a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa (50,000 psi) and conform to international standards such as ASTM 572 (Grade 50) or ASTM A653 (Grade 50) or their equivalents.

Purlins & Girts

Our purlins and girts are roll-formed Z-sections, 200 mm deep with a 64 mm flange and a 16 mm stiffening lip angled at 45°. These members are strategically placed along the roof and perimeter walls, providing primary support for roof sheeting and wall cladding. Designed to be lapped and nested at support points, they form a continuous beam effect, enhancing structural rigidity and load distribution.

C-Sections

The C-section members are 200 mm deep with a 100 mm flange, each featuring a 24 mm stiffening lip perpendicular to the web. These sections are often used in applications requiring intermediate supports, partitions, or structural wall elements, offering versatility and strength.

Eave Struts

Eave struts function as critical transitional members between the roof and sidewalls. Made from cold-formed C-sections, they are 200 mm deep with a 104 mm top flange and a 118 mm bottom flange parallel to the roof slope and reinforced with 24 mm stiffening lips. Positioned at the intersection of the roof and wall planes, these components effectively transmit longitudinal wind loads from roof bracing rods to wall bracing systems, ensuring stability under lateral forces.
